Come on out and see what we're about!!!
Who:Cub Scouting is for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th grade. No particular school or church affiliation is required but you may want to consider existing relationships (neighborhood or school friends), regular meeting days, and proximity in making your decision.
What:
Any attempt to describe what we do in Cub Scouting in this brief statement would not do it justice. The Scouts have lots of hands-on fun doing things that build character, confidence, leadership, and self esteem. We get outdoors as often as possible and do a variety of things that few if any organizations offer (BBs, fishing, boating, swimming, archery, whittling, fire building, cooking, first aid, rock climbing, rockets, summer camp, etc.).
.Web Sites:
These web sites give you a nice overview of what Cub Scouting is about.
- Overview of Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts of America - http://www.scouting.org/About/FactSheets/OverviewofBSA.aspx
- Be a Scout - https://beascout.scouting.org/
When:
Please contact us and we will coordinate to meet or talk at our next event. September meetings and events through our Fall Festival are Open House. We keep our full year schedule "private" among our members for safety.
.Where:
Most of our Den (small group) and Pack (large group) meetings are held at St. Josephs Church Youth Center or Corrigan Hall in Odenton.
How:
Joining is as easy. Submit the online application for your scout with BSA registration fees. Or complete a one page paper form (available from us) with the registration fees. We will handle it from there.
Scan the QR code below to Apply Online!
Annual costs for BSA registration are very reasonable. Pack 127 chooses to support our other costs by charging a "Pack fee" which covers all badges, service projects, den activities, Pine Wood Derby & most other Pack events.
.For a number of years our Pack has decided to NOT DO REGULAR FUNDRAISING EVENTS. Our lives are busy enough.
.
Volunteers & Training:Let's not forget...........This is an ALL volunteer organization. All parents must be involved with their Scout AND in some sort of leadership or substantial support role if we are to provide a quality program. We have all the resources including; training, mentoring, printed material, web sites, etc. you could ask for............ but we must have your help.
